Genesis 1: 9 Then God said, “Let the waters under
the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”;
and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth,
and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it
was good.
11 Then
God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields
seed, and the fruit tree that yields
fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the
earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought
forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind,
and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in
itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So
the evening and the morning were the third day.
============
Day and night were
created and a dome called sky was put in place on days one and two. Now GOD
creates land and sea, simply by speaking them into existence. HE also created
everything that would grow.
My Observations:
- GOD made dry land for humans to live on.
- GOD made the seas and springs to water the plants for humans to eat.
- GOD made a variety plants for humans to eat.
Provision is what I
see when I read this passage of scripture. GOD thought of everything needed to
sustain life and created that for you and me. Warm, safe and dry seemed to be
the plan for humans to live an enjoyable life. GOD would take care of the
plants.
Challenge
- Why did GOD mention to Moses that HE was pleased, twice in the same day?
- Did you notice GOD created water, dry land and plant life with the idea of sustaining life?
- What areas of your life has GOD provided for, that brought you praise?
